SECOND Annual Youth Piano Competition.

  • Applications submitted after November 15 are $100
  • Last day to register is December 15
The Piano School of NYC is proud to announce its Second Annual Youth Piano Competition.
The Competition will be held on January 6th, 2019 at the Church of Christ and St. Stephens, 120 West 69th Street New York.
The Piano School of NYC is a Non-Profit Organization, 501(c)(3) and all the proceeds of the event will be devolved for supporting some of the School projects (outreach programs at local schools, after-school programs and senior centers)

RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • The Competition will be one live round for each competing category.
  • The categories of the Competition are as following:
    • JUNIOR CATEGORY: ages 6- 10
    • SENIOR CATEGORY: ages 11-17
    • YOUNG ADULT CATEGORY: ages 18-22
  • No participant can apply for a category not related to his/her age. All the participants to the Competition will need to show proof of age at the time of the Auditions.
  • The Jury will select 3 winners in each category and will assign special prizes. All the votes and decisions of the Jury are final.
  • Application to this Competition constitutes acceptance of the conditions here listed.
  • All the winners are obligated to perform in the Final Concert without remuneration.
  • Competitors are not allowed to have any educational relationship with members of the Jury.
  • Every participant must prepare a program with a choice of two contrasting pieces.
  • The total time for the audition must not exceed 5 for Junior category, and 7 minutes for Senior and Young Adults categories.

PRIZES

The Jury will select 3 winners per category and will have the possibility to award special prizes.
