Julian Jimenez Ruiz is guitarist, composer, arranger and educator born in Cordoba, Spain. He studied in the British School of Cordoba, recently lauded as one of the best international high schools in Spain by various Rankings. It was there where he started to learn music in a local music school, and decided to pursue his passion as a career.

He attained his Bachelor’s degree with honors (Summa Cum Laude) from Berklee College of Music in Boston, and recently obtained his Master’s degree with honors (Magna Cum Laude) from Queens College. He has performed with diverse groups in places like Boston, Washington DC, Denver, Ecuador, Italy and Spain, as well as in NYC where he is an active member of the music scene.

He is also very passionate about teaching, and has plenty of experience in the field, ranging from teaching as a Core Music Tutor in Berklee College of Music to private Students, Masterclasses and Ensemble settings, plus having experience with teaching children in music school where he started to learn Music in Cordoba. His active involvement in the live music scene bring an added value to all the knowledge obtained during his studies.

Currently Julian is working on his latest album release and subsequent release shows. He is involved in planning tours through Puerto Rico, San Francisco and Europe, where he will also teach in local schools and colleges.
