Jude Kim is NYC based bassist, piano teacher, and composer. While attending Berklee College of Music for a degree in Bachelor of Music in Performance and Jazz Composition, he was awarded with Student Achievement Scholarship and Most Improved Bassist Award of 2010 Scholarship. From 2013 to 2015, he enrolled to NYU Steinhardt to pursue Master of Music degree in Jazz Studies. Until his commencement in 2015, he was awarded with Ella Fitzgerald Scholarship, Most Promising Young Jazz Artist Series Competition, and Afro-Peruvian Ensemble Award.
Jude Kim has worked with Run-DMC, Def Jam, Swiss Chris, and Easy Mo Bee in NYC hip-hop scene as an assistant music director; with Chris Potter, Jean-Michel Pilc, Kenny Werner, Jon Cowherd, as a bassist in the jazz scene; with Samsung Fashion as a composer. In 2015, he has released his first album titled “October” (Titled “Margaret Thankyou” in iTunes).
