Divya grew up in Toronto, Canada, and moved to New York City to pursue a J.D. at St. John’s University School of Law. (She remains conflicted whether to root for the Raptors or the Knicks).

As a third year law student, Divya has garnered a wealth of experience in a wide range of practice areas such as criminal appeals, insurance defense, employment law, and healthcare fraud. Committed to providing pro bono services, Divya interned at a legal clinic where she assisted clients with filing chapter 7 and chapter 13 bankruptcy cases. Divya is also a student author for the St. John’s Law Labor and Employment Law Forum, and serves as an Executive Research Editor for the New York International Law Review, where her work has been published. In addition, Divya is the President of the St. John’s Law chapter of the South Asian Law Students’ Association.

In her free time, you can find Divya at museums, at the gym, learning new recipes, watching re-runs of The Office, and of course, doing pro bono work for The Piano School of NYC.
